What to do in Italy, may depend on your travel plans? If you are looking for a way to soak up some sun and surf along the shores, you have got two options. One, head out to the Mediterranean coast and visit the many beach resorts. Two, take a boat ride to the islands in the Italian Sea. One of the most popular islands is Ragusa, which boasts of lush pine forests and is one of the best spots to see monkeys. And don’t forget to stop by the grand Roman ruins, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza del Popolo, for some amazing views of the surrounding landscapes and historic ruins.
A less explored route would be to drive over the mountains, possibly on route 15 towards the town of Siena. This would probably be a better way to see Siena because it would give you a chance to take in the sights without being so distracted by the crowds of tourists that often gather on the main streets. Another less frequented but still beautiful route is towards the Dolomites. If you prefer a less paved road trip then take a hike through the pine forests.
There are many hiking trails that you could choose from. In addition to seeing the fabulous landscapes of the Amalfi Coast, you would be able to enjoy the unique culture of this region. If you like to hike, try the Amalfi Coast Trail. This route starts in San Gimignano, makes its way to the town of Siena and ends at the town of Amalfi.
Probably the best thing about Italy when it comes to Christmas markets is the abundance of things to do in each and every town. Venice is a must visit. From the Gaudi Bridge to the Ballestas Fountain, you will get to see all sorts of amazing art. Other great stops include the Lamere Canyon and the towns of Volterra and Verona. Many travelers also love to visit the Tuscan countryside during their holiday in Italy.
One thing that’s not to be missed when you visit the Amalfi Coast is the Capri region. The Capri area is made up of coastal plain, which stretches between Florence and Siena. It is one of the most scenic regions in Tuscany and there are a number of hiking routes through it. In the towns of Capri and Monterotto, you can visit the beautiful ancient church of Santa Maria Novella. You can also hike to the top of the Monte Calamoro mountain. There are also plenty of nature paths in the area as well as excellent fishing and boating.
If you’re looking for more excitement, consider taking a road trip through the sicily-illes. The sicily-illes is an island off the west coast of Tuscany. On one side of the island you’ll find the rugged, narrow strip of land separating it from the Amalfi Coast. This is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful, quiet road trip on a motorbike. On the other side of the island, you will find the beautiful, picturesque Piazza San Marco – the location of the last supper.
For even more excitement, consider taking an amalfi coast motorbike tour. Motorbike tours of the Tuscany Amalfi Coast are available from a number of companies in Italy. These tours combine traditional itineraries with modern day comforts. Most Italian road trips begin in the city of Rome and end in the charming town of Emilia-Romagna. Take your bucket list with you and plan an Italian road trip that will satisfy all your adventure needs.
